Hello everyone!!!! Here is another post full of random things,I hope you enjoy it!!!
First of all:have you guys watched 30 Rock? Now that we're only 2 episodes left to the end, everything is really finding its place in the show and I can't even think of a life without Liz Lemon :( She is one of my role model,I wish I could have her life (or Tina's)!!
So here is a lovely interview Tina Fey made some weeks ago about the end of her own show:
Oh Tina..I'll miss 30 Rock so much!!!
SPOILER ALERT!!!
Speaking about episode 7x11: seriously guys, what wasn't perfect in that episode?? I think these images speak for themselves:
And now a lovely video I found about Ben & Leslie of Parks and Recreation:
aren't they super cute??
Are you guys ready for The Walking Dead in two weeks? Here is a new promo for episode 3x09 (it's obviously SPOILER ALERT! )
I can't wait!!!!
Luckily another show that's coming back is Community:as we all know Dan Harmon is no longer part of the show..will the writers be able to keep it going without him? Here is a promo for season 4:
Speaking about OUAT,I didn't really like last week's episode, but as I previously said this sentence made it all for me :)
Also,every time there's Captain Hook on screen I'm happy (I'm a girl you guys,try to understand :P )
We finally found out that Mad Men will come back in April with a 2-hours episode..this is a wonderful news, I'm very curious to know what is going to happen to those people! Here are some pictures that anticipate season 6:
Sadly, for a show that is coming back, another one has been cancelled:I'm talking about Don't trust the B.. in Apartment 23, which has been removed from television by ABC, due to low ratings. This is a terrible news: I really loved this show and I thought it was very funny and witty without being stupid, qualities that you can't find in every comedy. However the network didn't think the same and they decided not to even air the remaining 8 episodes, which means the show didn't have a proper conclusion.
I'll really miss these crazy people!!! :( I hope some other network will save Apartment 23, or maybe Netflix (the website that saved Arrested Development). In the meantime, here is a link to the article I read and which explains a bit better the reasons behind this decision.
To conclude, some thoughts on this week's Pretty Little Liars:what did you guys think of the episode? My problem with this show is that some weeks nothing happens, while some others the episodes are packed with action. Like this week for example (SPOILER ALERT!!!):
the girls found out Meredith was giving drugs to Aria to keep her quiet and find the pages; Alison appears in Aria's dreams and gives her some suggestions; Byron comes back and confesses to Aria what really happened the night that Alison went missing; but most importantly, Spencer finds out that Toby is part of the A-team!!!!Isn't that a bit too much?
(I'm starting to think that maybe Alison isn't dead at all).
Also, what did Mona mean when she said "they have to understand that SHE is in charge"? Was she referring to "fear" as she was talking about that,or to someone else?Maybe even to Alison?? I hope we'll find out more next week!!!
So here is everything for today,I hope you liked this post!! I'd really love to hear what you think..feel free to leave a comment below!! Thank you for listening and stay tuned!
Hello! So as
promised (did I promise that? I’m not sure) I’m going to talk about 30 Rock. SPOILER ALERT!! As we all
know the show is ending in 2 weeks (that’s right folks, the finale is going to
be a one hour episode) and the writers are doing their best to wrap up the
story. In this episode (7x10,“Florida”), Jack and Liz go to Colleen’s estate
to organize her things after her death. This leads to a weird discovery for
Jack: not only was his mother actually a funny and nice person (“Mrs.
Silly”!!), but she was also a lesbian. This makes Jack think about himself and his happiness, which he's not sure he has ever had. * In New York, Tracy and Jenna are in
charge of TGS while Liz and Pete are away, and we all know that from this can come no good (no
surprise, right?). However, things seem to go pretty smoothly, until we find
out that Hazel has reported her previous employers to have had wrong behaviors
towards her; to avoid the scandal, everyone has to sign a document where
they deny any of that of ever happening. Unfortunately, Kenneth can’t lie, so
this leads to the saddest ending ever (seriously,I've neved felt so sad at the end of a 30 Rock episode before):
Hank Hooper, who doesn’t like scandals, decides to cancel TGS as his final CEO act, and we find out
that “next Friday” will be its final show. NOW LET’S
ALL TAKE A MOMENT TO THINK ABOUT THAT.
TGS has
been cancelled.
30 Rock is
ending.
I should
have figured that out before, after all the show is ending too…but how cruel is that?
Moreover, the news arrives right after Liz has found out she is going to adopt two
kids (again, where was Chriss?), and her facial expression sums up mine too.
What is going to happen now? What is Liz going to do after? Will she still be happy even without TGS? Are Jack and Liz going to be separated in the end? :(
However,
the best part of the episode was, in my opinion, the Jack/Liz scene in the
bed, at Colleen’s house. I know, I’ve been dreaming of them to get together
since the beginning of the show and I confess that the promo had led me to
think that something was actually going to happen. As I should have known
better though, nothing happened; anyway, Jack and Liz finally talked about their
relationship, in a way that I can’t help to think was Tina’s way to answer and
somehow please everyone that has been shipping them for all these years.
They
talked about their "chemistry", the fact that nothing ever happened because their
friendship is more important and not because any of them has any kind of "problem" (I
definitely think that, for Jack, Liz is not ugly, he just sees her as a little
sister); it was especially cute to see Liz trying to understand why Jack never
actually tried to seduce her, because “he’s kind of a slut”. ** I still
think there’s a lot they could have talked about and I’m not completely
satisfied with the answer they came up with either, but I appreciated that they had
that chat and I honestly saw that as something “for us” hopeless shippers.
In my dream/post 30 Rock-ending world Liz realizes she wants to spend the rest of her life with Jack and so,
after some years of marriage, she just comes back to him; after all Liz and
Chriss got married mainly because of her wanting to adopt kids. In the meantime
I’ll accept this sort of “acknowledgement” Jack and Liz made in Florida, even
if nobody will ever make me think that they are not soulmates.
( hands!!<3 ) * About that, I think Jack won't end up alone: I read that both Julianne Moore and Salma Hayek will be back for the series finale, so that has to mean something. To be honest I would prefer Jack to end up with Nancy (Julianne Moore), because I liked them as a couple, I thought they were cute (Liz excluded, of course).
So if that is the case,I would be kinda happy. But no Salma Hayek please!Never liked her nor her character.
** I thought the entire dialogue was super cute, but there was this part which I really loved. Since I don't know how to make gifs I will just post here the link to a tumblr I found on the Internet. (I hope that's ok with the author, I wouldn't know how else to quote him/her).
Liz: "Did nothing ever happen between us because I'm not fun?" Jack: "Good God Lemon. Obviously our relationship, however you define it ... mentor/mentee.." Liz: "Sister-ployee/work oracle" Jack: "..is more interesting than some dating scenario. And obviously to ruin what we have with a tawdry yet expert sexual encounter would have been a mistake".
UPDATE! Here is the entire scene, I found it on YouTube..enjoy!
Well thank Tina, at least you tried to satisfy us too :)
- 3 guys,
and that is going to be SAD. Thank you for listening and stay tuned! H.
Here I am
again! I know, two posts the same day..what a surprise! The thing
is, I have just seen the new 30 Rock episode and I had to talk about it!!
First of
all, let me remind to those of you who don’t know it yet (I hope just a few!) that
we only have 4 episodes left before the end of 30 rock.
4 EPISODE
PEOPLE!
And not to
a simple season finale, but to a series finale!!Only 4 episodes and then 30
Rock will end: I still have to process this information.
I love this
show very much: I have watched it in just 2 months, completely plunging into
this story. I fell in love with Liz Lemon and I felt a deep connection to her: “WWLLD”
(“what would Liz Lemon do?”) has been one of my mottos since then, and you can
imagine my excitement when Tracy literally pronounced this expression in
Thursday’s episode. I consider Jack Donaghy a great character and even though
he sometimes is “too much to be real”, I love his relationship with Liz. I don’t
want to write a eulogy right now because, as I previously said, this is not the
end yet. I just wanted to explain my attachment to this show to give you an
idea of how I felt watching “Game Over” (7x09) last night. Why was I
so emotional if the episode wasn’t? SPOILER
ALERT!!
It’s easy
to explain: it had been a while since the last time we had so many guest stars
in the show, all together. We had a story that involved Hank Hooper (Ken
Howard), Devon Banks (Will Arnett), Kaylie Hooper (Chloe Moretz), Len Wosniak
(Steve Buscemi) and Bev (Megan Mullally). If you have watched 30 Rock you can
easily recall where we previously met these characters, thus knowing how the
episode was particularly “full”.
The reason
behind all this is quite clear: 30 Rock is approaching its end, and this is its
way to say goodbye to all the wonderful people that were part of it. Emblematic
was the case of Dr. Leo Spaceman: I never really liked his character but, ehi,
listening to him saying “That’s
a series wrap for Leo Spaceman suckers!” made me sad.
I liked the
episode as a whole, as I said it was “full”, however this anxiety of saying
goodbye to everyone reduced the screen time for Liz and we didn’t see much of
her interaction with Jack either. I hope this was just one episode, and that
this way of proceeding won’t affect the other 4: I wouldn’t like the Jack/Liz “thing”
to be sacrificed right at the end. Just a
consideration though: Liz decides she wants to adopt a child, but we see no
Criss during the episode, not even once. Shouldn’t she decide those things with
her husband? Or at least with Jack? I also have to mention Octavia Spencer who played an exaggerated version of herself, who was basically a female version of Tracy Morgan :) Well, - 4 to the
end..how will I cope with that? (*still hoping
for Jack and Liz to end up together*) In the meantime, let's all watch the whole cast being interviewed by Jimmy Fallon on January the 10th.
