Hi everyone! Today I'd like to talk about a TV show I recently watched and that has been, unfortunately, cancelled after just one season. The show I'm referring to is Jane By Design:it was created by April Blair and it premiered on ABC Family on January 3, 2012.
The show resembles for some aspects to both "The Devil wears Prada" and "Ugly Betty", however it has a spirit of its own. It tells the story of a teenage girl, Jane Quinby (Erica Dasher), who is mistankenly hired as the assistant of a fashion designer, Gray Chandler Murray (Andie Mac Dowell) and begins working in high fashion. She then has to go on with her school life but, at the same time, she has to work and pretend to be an adult in order to keep her dream job. Jane lives with her brother Ben (David Clayton Rogers) and has a best friend named Billy (Nick Roux). At work she has to do her best to please Gray, while she also has to fight with India (India de Beaufort) and, sometimes, with Jeremy (Rowley Dennis).
The show was cancelled after only one season of 18 episodes, due to low ratings. Although I can understand why ABC decided to get rid of the show,I find hard to understand why people didn't like it. I know it's quite a predictable show, but it's funny and you immediately start to care about the characters. In particular the relationship between Jane and Billy could have developed and be explored more deeply if the show had had time to grow. Unfortunately we'll never know what was going to happen (however, there is a little surprise at the end of this post for those of you who watched the show and know how it ended).

SPOILER ALERT!!!!
Here is the surprise I told you about at the beginning of the post (don't go on reading if you don't want any spoiler). Here is the link to an article where the creator April Blair reveals what was going to happen in season 2 (OMG!). And finally here is a picture I found on this lovely tumblr
OMG have you guys seen the trailer for the new episode of 30 Rock?????
SPOILER ALERT!!
This is the official summary for it:
"Jack (Alec Baldwin) and Liz (Tina Fey) go off to Florida to handle his late mother's estate, while Tracy (Tracy Morgan) and Jenna (Jane Krakowsky) take charge at "TGS". Jack (Baldwin) encourages Liz (Fey) to be spontaneous and accompany him on a trip to Florida where they uncover a shocking secret about his mother. In Liz’s absence, Tracy (Morgan) and Jenna (Krakowski) assume responsibility for “TGS” with disastrous results for Kenneth (Jack McBrayer.) Tim Meadows guest stars." But what's important it's the trailer!!!Unfortunately I can't find it on Youtube.. I just hope they're not messing with us (but I'm sure they are)..
Here are some pictures that have already been released, but as you can see there's no Jack and Liz..
Hello guys!! Did you all watch the Golden Globes on Sunday?I did and it was a great night! Many awards were a surprise, like those to Ben Affleck and to the cast of Girls, while some others were quite predictable (like Homeland and Daniel Day-Lewis). However the greatest part of the evening were the two amazing ladies that hosted the show! I'm talking about Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, who delivered a great performance, which I'm sure will be remembered for a long time.
Here is the list of all the awards, and after that a lot of pictures of the evening!!
